New Generation of Permanent Anchors; The “Skrew” Anchor Offers the Premiere Anchoring System for Permanent Mooring.
Palm Bay, FL – July 18, 2011 – Sea Tech & Fun USA is the manufacturer and only distributor to launch the new generation of permanent anchors in the United States; the “Skrew” Anchor. More reliable and easier to screw, the new skrew anchor works extremely resistant in all conditions and allows the setting of boats up to 30 tons to be secured by one skrew anchor only. Mooring by permanent anchors can be accomplished by use of a permanent anchor at the bottom of a waterway with a rode (a line, cable, or chain) running to a float on the surface.
Manufactured with precision in hot dipped marine grade galvanized steel, the new generation of permanent anchors, the skrew anchor, offers an incomparable resistance at a very low cost with fewer worries. To combat the problems of permanent anchors and lines entangling, and to overcome the need of limited harbor space, the skrew anchor is the key tool to solving these issues. Due to its design in galvanized marine grade steel, the skrew anchor is a simple, highly effective and resistant permanent anchor system with a long lifespan.
The new generation of permanent anchors, the skrew anchor, as with all anchors manufactured by Sea Tech & Fun USA, has been designed to be respectful of the environment. Its main purpose is to replace other types of mooring anchors which harm the sea bottom and thus deteriorate them over time. The skrew anchor can be used for an array of tasks such as to make permanent moorings, to anchor floating docks or fish farms, basins, etc. This type of anchoring can also be used for many terrestrial applications, when it is necessary "to anchor" something temporarily or definitively in a movable ground, soft ground or sand.
The skrew anchor can be used in a number of useful ways. As Sea Tech & Fun USA declares… “This anchor enables the fixing of pontoons in marinas and yacht-clubs, mooring or fish farming areas to be organized in spite of the harbor’s saturation, and the securing of secluded mooring. Boaters, municipalities, renters, diving organizations, fish farmers, shipyards; everyone can adopt the new skrew anchor.”
Sea Tech & Fun USA is the manufacturer and only United States distributor of the “Spade” Anchor and “Skrew” Anchor, and has been a leader in the Marine Industry, providing high quality and high strength anchors for over 15 years. Sea Tech & Fun USA proudly stands behind every product they offer.
Permanent anchors are used where the vessel is permanently sited, for example in the case of lightvessels or channel marker buoys. The permanent anchor needs to hold the vessel in all weathers, including the most severe storm, but only occasionally, or never, needs to be lifted, only for example if the vessel is to be towed into port for maintenance. An alternative to using a permanent anchor under these circumstances may be to use a pile driven into the seabed.
Permanent anchors come in a wide range of types and have no standard form. A slab of rock with an iron staple in it to attach a chain to would serve the purpose, as would any dense object of appropriate weight (e.g. an engine block). Modern moorings may be anchored by sand screws which look and act very much like over-sized screws drilled into the seabed, or by barbed metal beams pounded in (or even driven in with explosives) like pilings, or a variety of other non-mass means of getting a grip on the bottom. One method of building a mooring is to use three or more conventional permanent anchors laid out with short lengths of chain attached to a swivel, so no matter which direction the vessel moves one or more permanent anchors will be aligned to resist the force.
